A relatively new ZZ is rather leaning. I took this from a larger ZZ I was repotting. I’m propping it up with the wood block behind it now. I wanted to gift this to someone but want to make sure it’s going to be OK first. Any tips or advice for this?

Need support. A bamboo stake or some kind of pole. Easy fix

0 Me gustaHi there, if you’ve just repotted it, the roots haven’t had a chance to firmly establish themselves in with soil yet so your zz is likely to be a little wobbly for a while. You can certainly temporarily stake this - just be really careful not to poke and damage the rhizome (which I’m sure you noticed when repotting, looks like a potato!). Give it a little bit of time to adjust if you have time. After a few weeks it should stop shifting and the stake can be removed. Or you can leave it in, it won’t hurt the plant. Best of luck!
0 Me gustaI repotted it maybe a month ago or two ago. I should have kept track.
1 me gustaIt may just need more time :) Hang in there!
0 Me gustaMake sure if you moved it from water to soil to keep the soil somewhat damp
