Hi folks. First time poster. I’m wondering, is it feasible to fertilise a plant that is in a pot without drainage holes? There are stones below the soil to create some space, but obviously that just isn’t the same. My current process for fertilising is a bit messy and makeshift, and I’m not convinced the plant is getting all the fertiliser. Cheers.

Pots without drainage is usually a death sentence for a plant, especially for a succulent. This plant looks like it may have root rot. The soil also shouldn’t be wet enough to have moss growing on it.

Thanks very much for the advice. I’ll work on it.

i think your jade plant desperately needs a repot. it appears thoroughly overwatered and may be rotting, likely due to the lack of drainage. rocks at the bottom of your pot won’t help, they impede drainage and will keep the soil on top wet longer. look into “perched water tables in potted plants” for more information. the physics behind it are interesting. when you repot, make sure to use a pot with lots of drainage (i like terracotta for succulents) and a gritty mix. most commercial houseplant mixes are too moisture retentive so i recommend buying some pumice or perlite to mix in your soil of choice.
