    This is a fun one! I personally live snake plants and spider plants as they are reasonably easy to grow!

    I second the pothos comment and also recommend syngoniums!

      are pothos safe for cats if kept out of reach? i know they are toxic if eaten.

      Yeah they’re only toxic if ingested, my cat has never shown any interest in any of my plants but I still try to keep them in spots out of her reach just in case.

    Peperomia are easy, varied, and reasonably priced. They were my favorites when I first got interested in plants.

    Lots of really cool succulents out there too and they tend to be very forgiving. And as long as you have one good piece left, you can start over if you mess up.
