I asked Dr. Planta and am waiting a response but I'm curious as to what you think might be wrong with my Begonia Rex. It is in a full sun part of my office, about a foot from my tinted window (there is also a light filtering shade I use on occasion). I water it on schedule according to the app but some of the leaves facing the window are becoming desaturated and green. They aren't crispy, or browning, just losing some colour. I've moved Bhaalspawn to the other side of my desk, out of direct sunlight because I'm worried it might be getting burnt. Help?

I think it’s just how they grow, mine has the same colouring

That's reassuring! It was just a few leaves when I got it about two months ago and I'm a black thumb plant mom trying to rehab bad habits lol.

You’re doing a good job if she’s gotten this big with your care!

I think your lighting is just less than what it had where it originated from. Begonia are highly susceptible to light, and can look like completely different plants depending on the light you offer them. If you want it back to more red, increase the light/grow light

Very good to know! It was on my desk about a foot from the window that gets direct sun from about 7-8am until about 2, but maybe the window tint (which is really minimal) is affecting it!

Depending on the tint, it can reduce quite a bit. I have my center west window tinted, and the plants will lean to either side 😆
