Sos, my plant is so sad! Hi- I have only had this plant for about a month. It had several leaves that looked like this. I cut them off repotted it and then the next day the rest of the leaves started to look like this too! I don’t know what to do. Please help!

I wouldn’t have repotted again, it sounds like it may be in shock from the repot. If so it will take some time to recover. What kind of water do you use? Rainwater is best for sensitive plants like Calatheas. Does it get a regular amount of light or was it just moved there? Sometimes plants are sensitive to drastic changes in light. Also make sure it doesn’t get any draft by that window. Calatheas also love high humidity which you can get by using a humidifier or clustering other plants around it. Have you checked the plant and soil for pests? Doesn’t seem like it would be pests but you never know. 🤷‍♀️ Good luck, hope your plant feels better soon!! ❤️

I usually just use water from my tap! I will try to keep it humid! Thanks

Tap water isn’t good for most plants, I’d suggest putting out a small tub next time it rains to collect the water and see if it would help. Hopefully it gets better!!

That pot might be too big for that size plant as well. Another repot might be a shock but rotted roots might be something to check for

Another thing to keep in mind is calatheas specifically store all there water and energy in the leaves so it’s never good to cut more than 1/3 of their leaves off at a time or else it’ll kill the other leaves

Couple things here: 1. I agree with Spark’s comment on water type. Recommend switching to rain, distilled or tap water treated with aquarium conditioner. Aquarium conditioner is cheap and only takes 2-3 drops per gallon of tap water. You can get it from Amazon or most pet supply stores. 2. The pot looks too big for the size of the plant. I’d recommend downsizing. The pot should only be an inch or two larger than the size of the root ball. 3. The potting medium looks pretty dense. Calatheas do well in a fast-draining, chunky mix. Potting medium mixed with coarse perlite/pumice/small orchid bark/cactus soil, for example. Any of these will increase aeration and help with water drainage. 4. What is the average humidity in your home? You should aim for 45-50% RH at least. You’ll need a humidifier for long term plant health. Misting and pebble trays do not affect local humidity at any meaningful level. 5. How much light does it get? 6. Any signs of pests?
