Hi there. Plants like to sleep at night. Succulents do this really complicated thing of absorbing Carbon Dioxide at night, and they do so when it’s cool and dark.

Thanks, I will have it on in the day instead. How much time should it get in darkness at night

Just a normal amount. I run my lights 9 am to 7 pm, but I also get a lot of natural light. I can’t exactly tell the species you have, but aloe can do well a few feet from a windowsill. Mine here get a few hours morning direct sun and then just room light the rest of the day.

NP. I had an aloe wayyy back that lived in a big glass bottle. I didn't give it much attention, it had no drainage, but it completely took over the HUGE bottle.
