Help needed! My pilea peperomioides was growing sideways so months ago I secured it to a bamboo rod to train it upwards. I just unsecured it for the first time and it had an adverse effect. The plant became completely dependent on the rod and is weaker and flops over at the top when removed. Any tips on how to help? I was thinking of cutting him in half where the curve begins and planting the cutting in the same pot but not sure.

Yes, I would chop and prop. I just did this to a friend’s pilea that looked like this. I would chop the top at where it’s bending, stick that top part in water for it to root, then plant. Chop the stem shorter, then it will sprout again. They definitely want to always have a support, like your stick, or else they’re crawlers. 🌿
