Recurring infrequent plant maintenance💚 Discovering that I’m going to need to account for little things in my plant care maintenance, like replacing top soil. My outdoor plants seemed low (I could see some roots) so I added soil for them. How often do you do this? And are there any other things I might need to do from time to time to care for my plants? Besides water, fertilizer, battle pests, repot, light check, ? Photo below of one of my outdoor hibiscus 🌺 plants that I added a bit of soil to yesterday. 💚💚💚

    If it’s just a little soil settling and a couple exposed roots, a light top-up is totally fine! But if you’re seeing quite a few roots at the surface, I’d probably slide the plant out and check the root ball. It may be telling you it’s ready for a repot rather than needing more soil added on top. 😊 Just be careful not to gradually bury the base of the plant by continuing to top it off.
