    It’s looks like it trying to connect to Eywa 🦋! 😆🥰 No but seriously, I read that Ferns produce stolans when they need more room to grow and expand. Maybe time for a bigger pot!

    It’s a stolon or “runner.” It’s how ferns spread in the wild. You can bury that in another pot while still connected to the mother and it will grow a baby fern. Then you can clip the stolon and separate the plants. My fern makes a lot of them but I never do anything with them. You can leave them or clip them. Ferns prefer to be slightly root-bound, so it’s not necessarily a sign that it needs repotting, just that it’s happy, growing, and trying to spread!
