I just noticed this as I was watering my Dieffenbachia. Anyone know what it is? Is it harmful?

It just means you have good nutrients in the soil.

It's a type of mushroom that's pretty common in house plants I believe. I had some in my ivy and they don't hurt the plant at all as far as I'm aware.

Hi Becky I realized you have some nice dieffenbachia plants. I love the way they look however everyone I have owned has died. What’s your secret? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thank you. I feel like they grow like weeds. I have all of mine near windows. They definitely love the sun. Hope this helps.

Leucocoprinus birnbaumii! A saprotrophic mushroom that is harmless to your plants. It is feeding on organic matter in the soil
