My cuttings have all taken root really easily – or at least so many have that I haven’t noticed the ones that haven’t. I’ve always just put them in soil and hoped for the best, which has got me lots of baby plants. I’m experimenting with airlayering for the first time with these little rooting balls from Amazon and it’s working so well that I’m going to pop on some more and give them chance to take root before chopping.

Water’s meant to work well, I just haven’t tried it yet! I think I might give it a go when I chop my biggest one in a few weeks.

Does it matter where you cut?
