Fairly new peace lily parent here! Does anyone know what this white, dust-like thing is covering my soil? It fully appeared overnight, so I’m unsure what’s happening with it… anyone able to help me identify this? I had this before repotting quite some time ago and it went away after a while, but I’d like to know if it’s harmful or not. Thanks!

    sometimes when you water it could leave a residue and i believe that may be what this is :)

      I did a few weeks ago! They looked fairly healthy!

    See how you have a double pot? This is a sign that the mold is caused by lack of air circulation. I would not double pot the plant, I would also check to make sure the pot that is holding the soil and the plant has enough drainage holes. You can just scrape off the mold. It isn’t a bad thing, but this issue could lead to root rot if the plant doesn’t have proper circulation.
