If you touch the soil and it’s dry it’s under watered and no light if you touch it and it’s really wet and you didn’t just water it it’s over watered.

Soil feels perfect. I wonder if I need to repot it.

watering issues are much more complicated than this. monstera can tolerate significant drought, so if only the top of the soil is dry it’s still quite possible the plant has been watered too frequently. at least half the total volume of soil should be dry before watering again to prevent overwatering symptoms or root rot. yellow leaves are often a symptom of not enough light, too much water, or less likely that the plant is becoming root bound. there’s also no need to separate the plants if you’d rather not, in fact i’d recommend against it, as messing with a plant’s root system can lead to transplant shock.

3 LikesI do think it could be a lighting issue cause I can see you have 1 leaf with fenestration and others don’t have it your plant is mature they should all be splitting.

your monstera would definitely appreciate more light. i’ve had the most success growing them directly in a west or east facing window but many people have acclimated theirs to full sun indoors (south facing window), since the more light your plant gets the faster it will grow. and, the quicker it will develop mature, fenestrated leaves.

Thank you so much for your comment and all your advice. I appreciate it. I think the bulbs are 225 W bulbs if I put the plant a little closer to the light, would that be considered more light or does it need another bulb?🤍🪴
