This baby is NOT ok. I think I want to propagate as much as I can. There are a lot of good nodes. I’ve never propagated a node with no leaves. Would it be best to do them in soil or water? If water, how? I have propagation beakers that I use but I wouldn’t be able to get the nodes out once they root.

I prefer water but Ive seen people do it in moss too! I use any random jar I can find and fill it with enough water just to cover the node where roots will grow. If I’m propagating a bigger cutting I’ll use a popsicle stick or something to lean the stem on so it’s not completely submerged in water. Change the water every week or when ever you remember to, and within a couple weeks you should see roots!

Do you happen to have a picture of yours you could show me?

I don’t have any pothos or philodendron props going right now, but this is an alocasia corm I’m propagating in water in an old yogurt jar (I suggest clear jars/containers so the plant can get light) Kinda similar idea, but I covered it with plastic wrap since alocasias like humidity. There’s a super shallow layer of water—just enough to cover the bottom half of the corm—and eventually when it develops roots, I’ll fill the jar a little higher. If I had more corms, I’d put them in the same jar, but you can prop multiple cuttings in the same jar too 😊

I’ve never done it, but I’ve seen people take a clear plastic container, fill it with sphagnum moss and perlite, and then throw their cutting in the closed box. The lid of the box will trap humidity so you won’t have to “water” your props

I just cut at each node, and then put in water with a clone cutting solution (works wonders) once roots develop, I transfer to a soil or aroid mix depending

With my larger cuttings, I use Lecca at the bottom of the container (1/4 or less) and then fill the rest of the container with sphagnum Moss

I cut down an adansonii and put nodes with no leaves into moss/perlite. I used a clear plastic take out container. This is her now 6 months later
