What if your peace Lillie has worms in its soil? Should I get rid of her? Should I repot her and and the pot is starting to rip at the bottom. I don’t want to get rid of her because she was shipped to me from my father-in-law‘s funeral so what should I do? I’ve never seen worms come out of soil.

i mean worms help compost dead material so like to my knowledge they’re helpful just gross. i don’t see an issue with leaving it if they really are just your typical garden worm you’d find in ur yard. if the pot is starting to rip you can repot but if its not rootbound yet there might not be a need if its able to keep itself together enough

Are they earth worms? Just change the soil and replace the nursery pot. Use a pot 2” wider if there are more roots than soil indicating an overgrown root bound condition. Otherwise, use the same width pot. Earth worms crawling out of the pot every time I water gives me the creeps!😬😄

Not sure about the worms aspect, but don’t get rid of that beautiful plant.

I found this answer on Google. Worms in the soil of a peace lily are likely earthworms and are generally beneficial. They help aerate and enrich the soil, and may also help control pests.

Check online to see exactly what a jumping worm looks like. They are invasive and look very similar to earthworms. If they’re jumping worms, get rid of them!
