    Just like normal with any other plant. Gritty mix that’s well draining. For propagating, you cant propagate from just the leaf, you need a stem, and aloes make babies when they get to be bigger, and you can find them and pull them off.

    aloes propagate themselves by putting out babies like the other comments say and as far as top heaviness goes i would just bury her deeper and make her more stable. eventually aloes probably need support but that’s okay, we do too:)
