This was labeled as a white knight, but it’s only variegation is pink and it has some all black leaves. I see that the stems do look like a white knight but I haven’t seen any others with leaves like this. Is this normal? Thoughts?

I think that’s a PPP. But it’s pretty low variegation. I think it may have been mislabeled? I’m no expert but I have a PPP and it looks just like this, just more variegation. I keep mine in pretty bright light. Anybody else have any thoughts?
3 likesYeah, that’s what I thought too, although the stems do have the white on them like a white knight would. Hmmm. Thanks!
0 likesOh I didn’t notice that. I just saw the color of the leaves. 🤷♀️

0 likesI looked up a white knight and it does look like a dark white knight. I think I’ve seen them put out occasional pink variegation but I think it’s uncommon. Put it in the light and see what it does!

This is mine. The burgundy stem with white pinstripes is pretty indicative of a white knight. They’re green-based leaves, but they have the potential for both white variation and red overlay. Having a lot of red overlay makes the green look blackish. If the red overlays on variegation, it can look pink. I love these guys for those reasons ☺️

If it get more light the variegation should increase. Also once size increases trimming it can help that color show on new leaves

0 likesIt’s the white edge along the petiole that makes it a white knight. PPP’s don’t have that white border on the petiole.
