Verdict on my TC journey. I got 5 different varieties. I potted them in fluval with perlite, with a humidity dome. They sat under a grow light for 12 hours. Two did not make it. A white ice begonia. Basically the leaves melted when removing the agar. The roots looked ok, so I had hope, but it got moldy. Verdict: I probably didn't remove all of the agar. Another that perished was a varigated ficus lyrata, which was the one I really wanted.😭 Verdict: I think it needed more humidity. It looked good for awhile and then shriveled up and died. A variegated frydek is barely hanging on. I'm adjusting humidity. It keeps putting out new mainly, white leaves, with very little green, I think that's why it's having a difficult time. Other thoughts, advice are welcomed. The variegated birds nest hasn't done anything. Verdict: variegated is pretty, but difficult. The only "success" has been the zebra aglaonema, however I'm impatiently waiting for more leaves to grow. 😄 Overall verdict: Tried it, but won't do it again.
