It’s worth it if you find your water is too hard for the plants. Plants like maranta can be sensitive to water high in lime, calcium and other minerals found in hard water. You can also use rain water.
4 J'aimeThanks! Based on what I was seeing I wasn't sure they did a lot for hard water/mineral deposits. Was thinking it couldn't hurt either way but I appreciate your input.
2 J'aimeI believe PUR removes more contaminate than Brita, if you hadn't purchased one yet
1 j'aimeLike Sunny said it's really going to depend on your water. Usually it is worth it. I have an R/O, but I also just use API aquarium water conditioner too. It just depends on the plants I'm watering/misting.
2 J'aimeWhich R/O device do you use? I just ordered a cheapish distiller.
1 j'aimeBaller!
0 J'aimeThat's cool! I hadnt come across a DI maker for the home. And often DI is better.
1 j'aimeI use filtered water on mine and find they do better on it than when I get lazy and use tap.
2 J'aimeI use a Zero water filter for all my plants because it removes everything
