I’m having issues with my ficus, I’ve never owned one but the leaves are growing some have dropped. It used to be very compact and tall but now it’s growing wider. I’ve tried to keep the water consistent and not over water. I’ve noted these brown bumps as well, is this scales? I’m not sure if this is the main issue

My guess is that this plants gets too much water for too little sun/light. And those bumps looks like scales, unfortunately 😐 So if you can - move it to a sunnier place, keep up with watering but let it dry in between watering, and keep manually removing those scales. You can also try using beneficial bugs but from my experience removing them regularly should improve the situation.

definitely scale! and she's too close to the window. never let them dry out completely when you water. scrape all of those bugs off with a scalpel or knife and treat with a good wipe down of rubbing alcohol. repeat every week until you see absolutely zero of them.
