Can someone give me a little fern insight? I water it when Planta tells me to, it’s in a window sill getting enough sun. However, I feel like I’m watching a slow death.

Never go by just Planta. With most houseplants I wait until the soil is 75-90% dry in between watering to prevent root rot! You can use a chopstick to stick in the soil to see if it needs water. If you pull it out and there’s soil on it, no water. If there’s no soil on it, it’s time to water!

0 likesIt could be. It could also be getting TOO much light. They love bright indirect light, not direct light

3 likesBigger Pot with drainage will solve most if not all of your issues. The extra soil will help control moisture levels and a draining pot will help, NOT solve overwatering. If the leaves are turning pale and brown, it’s too much sun either move it a bit away or add shade cloth. If leaves are falling off it’s definitely not enough sun, if it’s none of those, Sun we can assume is good. What I do see is some crispy looking tips of leaves which points me to lack of proper moisture, you may be watering on time but the pot can only hold so much. Hope that helps! 😄 Happy Planting!
0 likesDefinitely agree w never following plant watering schedule. I ALWAYS snooze a few times. Use it only as a guideline. I use a hygrometer and love it. Have never had root rot again. Well plus I learned a lot of other things along the way lol
