Does anyone have any suggestions on shipping plants? I got my calathea while my husband was deployed and it’s absolutely thrived over the past 2 years. I really don’t want to just give it to someone else because of all the time and progress we’ve made. I’d like to have my friend overnight ship it to our new place, but is that possible? And if so how?

Sounds pretty! If you want you can ship it how plant stores ship theirs. First make sure it was just watered, then put stuffing fluff over the soil and packing tape that over and around the soil to make sure it doesn’t fly around during transit. Then put fluff all around the leaves and stems to make sure they won’t get terribly squished or smashed. Then take some butcher paper and gently wrap the plant in that from top to bottom and secure with tape. Then find a box that’s not too small but not too big that the plant will fly around in it. Then fill all the crevices with bubble wrap, tape up the box good and get some “live plant” stickers to put on the outside of the box and even “this side up” stickers too. But yeah overnight shipping would be the best, especially for calatheas, best of luck! ☘️🤞🏼

you could probably talk to a local plant shop and/or post office and see if they have any suggestions!
