Help please! My Croton that I saved from someone a few months back was doing well but still continues to have browning leaves at the bottom of the plant that fall off easily. I follow all the care tips and have done all my research but don't know why he's still unhappy. I initially thought it was burning from too much direct sunlight and moved him further from direct sunlight and it's not helping. I was hoping someone could shed some light. This is only my second Croton and I'm struggling to find the balance with him! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Mine did the same thing at 1st. I've had mine for 5 years now and every once in awhile the bottom leaves fall off but as long as new growth is growing at the top i believe its normal for the bottom leaves to come off.

like previously stated if the top growth is fine the plant should be fine! she’s just shedding her old leaves so she can focus on new ones!

I have all of the same questions! 😂 My last two crotons bit the dust and I got one earlier this year in hope that I could keep it alive. I had it in a pretty big pot but very recently put him in a pot about half the size in hopes that being root bound would assist. No changes otherwise, will report back in the Spring I guess. lol.
