I’m new to Planta and overall plant care, but have had this Golden Pothos for about 5 years, it seems be to doing well and has grown a lot. Interested to know whether I should allow the vines to keep growing around the existing plant, or if I should be repotting or doing something different?

If it’s been in the same pot for that long it may be time to repot and give those roots more room to grow!

Repot and give her some fresh soil, she’ll grow more

Thank you! What about the growing vines? Do I cut them back? They often start growing along the floor?

The plant looks healthy as it is. It looks like it’s getting the nutrients it needs. Leave it in the pot if you are happy with the current pot size and pole height. Just trim the vines if they get too long or unruly. Increase the pole height and pot size if you want a bigger plant or a place to tie up the longer vines. You can replace the soil or you can add organic matter like cow manure on top of the soil each year. Adding manure tea is an alternative. Check online for the tea making process. 🪴🍀
