I discovered what I think are spider mites when I was repotting and sectioning my new monstera! 🥲 I sprayed her down with a neem oil mixture. How often should I apply it and how will I know if it was successful? I’m hoping she doesn’t go into shock from all these drastic changes. Any advice would be appreciated!

She should be fine even though you beat her up haha. Can you rinse her with a hose then spray the neem oil once a week for a month unless you see more. I would buy some insecticide and sprinkles it in the soil around the root ball.

Yeah, treat the soil or change it altogether. Insects may have larvae or eggs in the soul and then a new infestation is in the inevitable future.

Thank you both for the advice! I have gotten her brand new soil in the process, so we’ll see if that helps 🤞

I spray as a preventative with my neem every 7 to 14 days
