What types of plants do hummingbirds like? I have these two hummingbirds that perch everyday on this Bird of Paradise tree outside my window (it's the cutest thing ever) and I want to get more plants for my balcony along with a feeder. Any suggestions?
Hibiscus comes to my mind first! My hummingbirds always went crazy for it, back when i had one. But the bushes can get quite large.... I've never attempted in a pot. Maybe there are dwarf varieties?

Awww thats so cute. I have no clue what plants they like though. I have to take my hummingbird feeder down bcz they need to migrate in my area. Do you get them all year long?

I have a gold fish plant and the humming birds love it. Anything with a deep trumpet shaped flower would probably attract them

any thing bright and colorful with tube like buds all types of salvia - the deep purple they love and the miniature pinks too
0件のいいねHummingbirds love coreopsis and woody hibiscus in my experience. They also go for anything red or purple, and flowers with narrow tube shapes that match their beak shape. Hummers are also mainly insectivores, so attracting a wide variety of flying bugs will help them (try planting some flowers in the carrot/dill family; they bring in a wide variety and harmless beneficial wasps that'll protect your garden from pests). For nesting material, hummers like spiderweb

How cute! That’s probably a female since the coloring is not too vivid. Any sort of trumpet shaped flower. Honeysuckle, fuscia, salvia, Hosta, columbine, lupine, butterfly bush. These are all things I have grown in my yard with the intention of watching them!
