Aloha! Welcome to Planta! I’m afraid I don’t have much experience with vegetable gardening, but I did wanna add that if you don’t get a ton of responses, or the kind you’re looking for, definitely feel free to ask for the same advice on the Gardening and Outdoor group tomorrow. Might find more tomato experts there if you don’t here 😉 This is a pretty popular group too, though, so I hope you get some great responses soon.

I don’t think you’ve really got enough soil in those grow bags. Nor is there enough room for that many pepper plants in one bag. I can’t tell for sure from the photo, but it looks like you also have multiple tomato plants in each grow bag. Sorry…but they need more room. They also need pretty much full sun. How’s the drainage? How often are you watering?

Your peppers look like they need some fertilizer, they are heavy feeders and they like the tomato fertilizer so you can use it on them both. You can tell by the leaves cause the veins are darker color than the rest. Also, I would move them away from the wall to give them more light. They only get part sun when next to a wall or fence. I hope that helps you 😊

I haven’t transplanted my tomato seedlings to grow bags yet, but from all I’ve researched I agree about needing more soil and there should be one plant per grow bag for the tomatoes. Also full sun.

Fruit and vegetable plants typically need a minimum of 8 hours of full direct sun to thrive and produce fruit/veggies. So, yellowing and leaf dropping could be insufficient lighting. It could also be insufficient fertilizer. There are fertilizers labeled for tomatoes that are more acidic. I recommend adding some if you haven’t already. It could be overwatering or slow drying. Tomatoes look slightly limp when they need water. I recommend letting the soil dry out more between waterings.
