Ok. Let’s assume for a moment that there was a half-dead twisted lipstick plant at my Lowe’s on clearance. And let’s assume that as a relatively new plant parent, I was unsure of my ability to bring it back to life. Would anyone have any words of wisdom if I were to hypothetically go back and get it tomorrow? Edited to say - I have about 35 plants, half are orchids that I’ve had for years. The other half are houseplants I’ve picked up over the last 3 months. Nothing has died… yet

Unless they're practically giving it away as a new plant parent, you might just frustrate yourself. 🫤

Def get it! I have not had that specific plant but I have had luck with clearance babies when I don’t repot or do anything (besides water with bioprotectant if it’s thirsty) until I’ve had it about a week or so.

It'll be a good learning experience, and you can ask more experienced people here how to help it recover. I say give it a shot

I’d do it and challenge myself. Go for it!
