This happened to my Alocasia a week ago it’s started with a dark spot and then it’s dried up and it’s a hole I’m not sure what happened it was by it self and everything else with the plant it’s great actually planta said it was dry but I list the leaves often and wipe them and the soil it’s great as well had anyone experienced this before ?

Hmm.. maybe pests are the problem? Sometimes plants can have diseases too. There are many ways that this could happen. Maybe the lack of potassium, calcium and magnesium? My succulent has a similar problem except the holes arent that deep

Yeah, my guess is that it was dry. But maybe you were to late and the plant was already forming this hole.

Looks like it’s pretty close to a window, I’d say it got sunburn. Alocasias need time to acclimate to direct sunlight

I just placed it by the window today and it all the way in the bottom of the shelf this happened before that

Then it could be a bacterial or fungal infection because there’s a yellow ring around the brown spots. You said you’re keeping it moist, how are you doing that? Misting or watering often?

Misting I checked the soil and it’s great actually that’s why I’m having an issue figuring out what happened because I don’t over water I checked the soil is not sunburn there’s no pest on this plant or any of my other plants so I’m genuinely confused

Misting is the culprit. Alocasia don’t like wet leaves and can cause them to rot which appears to be happening now. I recommend stop misting and isolate this plant as it has some kind of infection and you don’t want it to spread to your other plants. I’d also cut this leaf off and if you see more spots spray with a fungicide like Captain jacks Copper Fungicide. In the future use a humidifier to increase humidity.
