This girl is getting big and I have no idea what to do as she gets bigger. She is getting too close to the grow light so I need to rearrange her. She’s also getting some slightly yellow leaves. She’s got some crispy brown areas likely due to inconsistent watering on my part. She started as a tiny plant about 2-3 years ago. She enjoys morning sun and jazz music but I’m not sure how to trim or repot or water her.

I don’t personally own one but it’s my wish but every 3 weeks for watering , trim it at the start of the root, and for repotting I’d recommend getting a terracotta pot . I search one up that will maybe be a good size for yours, the wide back one . Anybody correct me if wrong 🥲

Terracotta retains moisture and with most plants you want ample drainage so they’re good for outdoor plants but not for all indoor plants 😊

Def don’t trim she’s beautiful! Maybe repot in a rectangle pot and put it sideways?! That could be pretty

Gorgeous! Lots of potential here Don’t be afraid to cut and propagate 😊 You’ll have lots of lovely monsteras around I don’t see much support. These plants NEED support. And at the right place. This is the “back” of the plant and there should be a stake (lots of options) here

In terms of cutting and propagating, I think you have some options. Look for the nodes. Get a pair of good trimmers and sanitize. Cut one or some, toss in a vase with water. Change the water every 2-3 weeks and watch the magic!

Another option for climbing support could be a trellis

Thank you for all the great feedback and suggestions. I’m scared to cut and propagate her but I do need to do it. Plus I have a friend who would love to have one of her cuttings if I could figure it out. Putting the support is tricky. I do well with little plants and when they get big I’m out of my skill level. I’ll give these suggestions a try though.

She needs to be trimmed and propagated and she needs a moss pole for stability for sure! No terracotta. Something w ample drainage. Terracotta retains moisture. Other than that it’s obviously very happy so great job and keep up the good work! Let cuttings dry up a bit before putting straight into water in a clear glass vase/jar so they don’t pull water up into the stem

I got the propagation started. Five days in and it looks like she might have a little bit of a root starting. It’s hard to see through this jungle of plants and cuttings but I have four of the original Monstera cuttings in this large vase. Hopefully it will be a new plant in a few months.

I have one that I got for a Christmas present mine has lots of extra roots forming on it. Not to sure if it will get extra leaves on it yet though I’m new at having this plant and still learning about them. Even other plants that I have I’m still learning about too.
