just picked up this plant today!! can yall tell me what exactly it is and how to save it? i just dont think it looks great and im not sure how many problems i just brought home 🤣

    I believe it’s a bird of paradise! Someone lemme know if I’m wrong. Never owned one but hope to some day!

      i found this one for $35 at lowe’s! i would go check and see if yours carries them :)

    Looks like a bird of paradise to me, we have a bunch of them where I work. Based on the leaf damage it looks like it’s got some sort of pest in it, I’d do some research on what that could be. I’m not familiar with pests so I won’t be of any help there.

    Bird of paradise, looks pretty good for a rescue! I always change soil to what’s best for the plant. Clean leaves and give plant a good wipe down.

    I agree with Ashley! I haven’t found many rescues that look as good! $35 seems steep to me for that plant but they are rewarding when placed in the right conditions. They thrive in bright light and well draining soil!

    That’s for sure a Bird of Paradise! I’d check it over for bugs first, clip any icky bits off of it, spray for bugs if needed, and place it in the sunniest spot possible! They love sunlight!
