I went to my plant shop today to have them look at my monstera. The first photo is my baby before. They put a moss pole for me and it looks a bit messy (all the other photos show the after moss pole). They definitely know more than I do, but any thoughts on it?
i like yours better and think the velcro is a safer option but it’s all a preference thing. it will grow taller and spread a little as it climbs with the pole. beautiful plant regardless

Agree that plant “tape” or Velcro is better than the twine

0 Me gusta I think it looks healthy. Keep the moss damp and let the soil dry out before watering again. I bet you’ll see a ton of growth this spring

1 me gusta lol it will grow with love but the moss with encourage more growth. i get the idea of it being more aesthetically pleasing

they both look fine to me. the moss pole will help it get much bigger leaves as it grows. but I would definitely remove that twine right away and replace it with velcro!!!
