Hello! I recently moved my plants indoors out of our 3 season sunroom. Is there any suggestions on placements or plants that don’t like to be near others? I have a ton of different kinds, and I’m still relatively new to this.

    I would check on which ones cannot handle draft at all first, because those will have the most problems by the window for winter. I know that the rattlesnake plant (and I think I see a stromanthe) like higher humidity, so depending on how cold it gets were you are or how close to the heat/AC this is, those might need a more enclosed space or at least a pebble tray beneath them.

    Christmas cactus will only bloom if it gets a solid 14 hours of complete darkness in the six weeks or so before the ‘season’. He might need a special spot for that depending on how hands-on you want to be.

      Oh I did not know I had to give them total darkness to bloom. Thank you for the info!! I have a lot of tropical. The one that looks like a stromanthe was something I got from Home Depot and said it was a pink lipstick aglaonema. I will look into ones that don’t like drafts! This room stays warm and gets bright indirect light. So hoping they prosper.

    This might be an unpopular opinion but I move my plants around alot. If they look sad or droopy I might try give them more sun or get them closer to humidifier …. Or sometimes just because the vibe is off and I think they would look better elsewhere!
