Hello! I recently moved my plants indoors out of our 3 season sunroom. Is there any suggestions on placements or plants that don’t like to be near others? I have a ton of different kinds, and I’m still relatively new to this.

SJI would check on which ones cannot handle draft at all first, because those will have the most problems by the window for winter. I know that the rattlesnake plant (and I think I see a stromanthe) like higher humidity, so depending on how cold it gets were you are or how close to the heat/AC this is, those might need a more enclosed space or at least a pebble tray beneath them.

Christmas cactus will only bloom if it gets a solid 14 hours of complete darkness in the six weeks or so before the ‘season’. He might need a special spot for that depending on how hands-on you want to be.

Oh I did not know I had to give them total darkness to bloom. Thank you for the info!! I have a lot of tropical. The one that looks like a stromanthe was something I got from Home Depot and said it was a pink lipstick aglaonema. I will look into ones that don’t like drafts! This room stays warm and gets bright indirect light. So hoping they prosper.

JessThis might be an unpopular opinion but I move my plants around alot. If they look sad or droopy I might try give them more sun or get them closer to humidifier …. Or sometimes just because the vibe is off and I think they would look better elsewhere!
