can some one tell me why the 2 new leaves of my croton are not red?

    Good question they look pretty small compared to the other leaves maybe they will change color as they get older.

    Crotons need a lot of light to maintain their color (any red plant will). New leaves will come in green, and if lighting is right, they'll develop their bright colors as they harden off

    Crotons revert to green to maximize photosynthesis when they’re not getting enough light. To keep the vibrant colors going, you’ll want to maximize the light this plant is receiving! 😊

      That being said — these leaves look fresh so they still may turn colors!!

    i moved it to under a plant light so hopefully that will help it convert
