Although it might have something to do with this side not facing the sun
0 LikesIt may be sun stress which is where the plant is exposed to too bright light for too long. It doesnāt hurt the plant or alter its health, just its colour. It may be a deficiency but I think that sun stress is more common.
2 LikesWell, thatās strange because I have that side facing away from the sun
2 LikesWait, hold on thanks for the information. I went back on a couple of photos and realized that I did have it facing the sun for a while. I totally forgot. Thank you.!
3 LikesNo problem!! Good luck with your plant!! :)

1 LikeYour question is already answered but I'd like to add all haworthias turn brown if too much sun, they like lesser sunlight š„¹

Mines is outside full sun. Never turned this color until I donāt water it. For a period of time.
0 LikesI bet the higher water content helps it deal with the sun better. š¤ Good point to add for those with them outside that are more likely to dry out so fast that itās easier to miss.š
0 LikesYep, I agree with everyone. Itās sun stressing. š But I would like to add a few things. Even though itās called sun stressing, it doesnāt actually hurt the plant. Itās not the same as a sunburn. A lot of succulents, which haworthia are, look green when theyāre younger. Then they show their true colors as they get older, and have enough sun. A lot of times the sun stressing is what brings out their true colors. š My husband pointed out thatās probably why we (not me, just society as a whole) call someone green when they are new at something. I had never made that connection.š Iām not sure what variety you have, so Iām just going to guess yours is not supposed to be brown, and itās more a sign that it could use a little less light. It should not hurt it, though, as long as its leaves, still feel firm like usual. It could even be this oneās mature colors. š¤·āāļø Thereās so many different varieties of succulents, itās hard to keep up with them all!𤪠If you like it, keep doing what youāre doing. If you donāt like it, maybe move it to somewhere with less light.
