Can I chop my sedum in half and plant the top half? it’s so floppy because it’s missing so many leaves.

Chop and give more light to avoid this issue in the future.

It sits in direct light everyday all day

Succulents get extended and leggy when not receiving enough light. Maybe try a grow light for winter months? Just trying to help :)

The light needs to be close to it, within a foot, unless you have one of those expensive high lumens light fixtures or it’s sitting on a windowsill in a south window. The plant really looks like it’s reaching for light.
