From my experience, it’s usually due to a lack of light. If you keep it in a low light area, it’ll adapt. But you’ll have some leaves fall off first.

i usually have this plant quite close to light. would you recommend keeping it in a more low light area?

Curling leaves and yellowing might be under watering? Or maybe it’s root bound…

i would guess overwatering or lack of light based on the yellowing leaves. since you mention it’s in decent lighting, besides watering too often, it may be a soil issue or lack of airflow contributing to the plant’s decline. many houseplants come potted in soil that is inappropriate for home-growing, like peat or coco coir alone or with a small amount of fine perlite, since they are raised in a greenhouse and not repotted before being sold. i always recommend growing hardy aroids like pothos in a chunky mix indoors as this will ensure lots of airflow to the roots and reduce the likelihood of overwatering symptoms and root rot. you can also water much more often in a free-draining mix since the soil will dry quicker, which leads to faster growth overall in my experience

I would check to see if the roots are too cramped.
