I need help! I’ve tried to get rid of these mealy bugs for months and even though they aren’t as bad as before, they still aren’t gone. This is one of the plants I love the most because of how much she has grown so I really don’t want to throw her away but I’m sick of having to keep her away from my other plants. I’ve treated with neem oil, new soil, rinsed all the roots/leaves with water and neem oil again, and I’m not sure what else to do…..

She is beautiful. I would just keep doing the Neem oil as directed and also spray a lot on the soil before u are about to water than water so the oil goes through the dirt also. I had to do that before.

Also, there is this that you mix within the soil and it is soaked up through the roots and into the stems and leaves, since mealy bugs love the sap if they drink it with this house plant pesticide running through the stems it will kill them and their larvae pretty quickly, just don’t use it for any plants you’re planning on consuming

Before you rinse it and put the Bonide granules in the pot, take a Q-tip and saturate it with rubbing alcohol and remove all the mealy bugs. Then rinse throughly. That will get rid of them. I learned that from watching tons of YouTube videos on how to get rid of them. You can also pick up some Bonide insecticidal soap and treat it once a month to prevent them from coming back. The granules are a must to have on have on hand in my book. I learned about them when I had to kill thrips on an Alocasia I brought home from the grocery store. Good luck 🍀
