Why is my beautiful croton dropping leaves???🥺💔 What do I do? I've been moving her over Xmas because of where we put the the tree. The past 4 mornings... THIS is what greets me...😪🥺

Stick your finger in the soil if it’s too wet it’s because you use to have it in a more bright place and the amount of water was enough but now that you moved it it could be not as bright so it’s sitting in more wet soil. If it is wet check for root rot. The more light a plant has the more water it needs. Try putting it in a more sunny spot or move it back to where it was.
1 likeNo root rot- thank goodness! 😉 I think she really misses HER place. We'll be removing the tree ASAP. 👍🏽

Crotons can be a bit sensitive to sudden changes in environment. In addition to needing a bit more light, you might want to make sure it’s not in any drafty places and that the temperature doesn’t drop below 65°F. I had to move my croton out of my bedroom a long time ago because it was dropping leaves constantly. We typically run the AC at night to sleep at night. Hasn’t dropped leaves since it was moved into a warmer consistent environment.
2 likesThank you! Yes! I've been moving her around the living room because of the Tree & Christmas decorations. We'll be taking the tree down ASAP and I'll move her back. I feel so guilty! My poor baby! Shoved over by Christmas!
