Do you guys think I could successfully remove this mushroom and put it in a little terrarium? đ„č These are unrooted cuttings that I just watered. đ

You can try but mushrooms donât typically last very long. They eventually will rot and provide nutrients to the plants soil.

Technically the mushroom/fungus is actually a network within the soil, so theoretically you could inoculate a terrarium with some of this soil to transfer part of the colony. But the mushroom part we know and love is actually the âfruitâ of the fungi. It sprouts up to release spores and usually dies quickly after that
2 J'aimeThe other comments are correct, the mushroom wonât live long, and the mycelium could produce more, but if youâre interested in mushrooms there are all kinds of awesome inoculation kits and tons of mushrooms to grow, like lions mane, or simple Portabellas. Here in Denver we can also grow the âfunâ kind đ đ whatever you choose theyâre a ton of fun and grow fast!
0 J'aimeWhat kind of soil did you use for your cuttings? Iâm about to try to propagate mine.
