Hey y’all! Any advice for growing seeds? Like veggies and fruit? I’m trying a wet napkin in a baggie with some apple, lemon and cherry seeds and just some dirt with some blueberries but o was wondering if anyone had tips on how to keep them alive or give them the best chance at survival? Any tips I’d love you for thanks!💚

Lots of seeds won’t propagate without a stratification season. Meaning you need to simulate winter conditions for several months before they will be ready to sprout. Apple and Cherry need stratification. Lemon should be potted in soil to sprout. Blueberries are exceedingly difficult to propagate and usually cuttings are used to create new plants. (Cherry and apple trees are typically grafted as opposed to grown from seeds, but if you’re just looking to see if it can be done, you do need to stratify them) Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I have them in the fridge to try and do that I followed a YouTube video that said that same thing! I may try the lemons in soil then! It helps a lot thanks a lot!💚

I spouted two lemon seeds using the same napkin in a bag tactic. Took one of them two months to sprout and the other a third month. I now have one on my front porch in full sun about 3 inches tall with good leaves! The napkin in a bag is how I’ve always sprouted my seeds. I’m now trying apple and cantaloupe as well. Good luck!

Fruit trees tend to appreciate regular pruning to improve air flow between the branches. Cherry is such a hardy plant that it can become a weed in many places, so keep an eye on it in case it starts spreading new trees. As you learn, you might try espalier for a fun challenge
