I went shopping today for a new hoya. Came home with 4 hoyas, and a few bonuses. Here’s my dilemma. The only room with least amount of plants where I can quarantine has no window. These plants need sunlight. Do I jeopardize their health and wait two weeks for their new homes? Or do I jeopardize my other plants and get these guys where they need to be? I normally pick the second choice. I plan on cleaning the leaves and treating the soil with Systemic Granules Insect Control. There is no indication of any issues right now.

I’d definitely give them all a shower down and then treat the soil and move in, don’t want them to try to acclimate and then stress them because of the no light

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. I understand the two week thing, but I don’t have a good staging area so it’s not good on them. Dammed if I do, dammed if I don’t right? All I can do is try. 💕

Of course! Yeahhh when you don’t have the space for a two week quarantine that’s okay, just take extra care of them and almost decontaminate them before bringing them in. Exactly, you always did your best by picking those lovely ones to add to your home! 💚

Order a good brand grow light from Amazon. That way you can quarantine any new plants in your dark room.

Im an idiot. I have grow lights! Why didn’t I think of that!? I’ve already cleaned and treated the soil and put them in their homes. Fingers crossed.
