Can anyone tell me what on earth is growing out of my peace lily 😳 it does look like it could be a new flower but they don’t normally appear like this 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree but the centre of the flower doesn’t usually show until the leaf has unfurled. I’m very curious

That’s for pollination I’m pretty sure! The one i used to have got those and it would stay that shape but become covered with pollen

That’s the pollination sector and it is completely normal, it looks like this

  Yes. This part only usually shows when the leaf unfurls though… very bizarre that it’s showing like this. I’m excited!

It’s a secret corn cob! Lol just kidding 😜 That is interesting. Maybe a mutant flower that didn’t form the white petal? Keep us updated?

  It’s the centre (spadex) of the flower (spathe) but without the spathe. Googled it but much info about it. Really fascinating. It’s also growing quite rapidly!
