I know that once a vine/stem start producing all-green leaves, they will only grow those unless pruned back to variegation, but I don’t think I ever saw something that specified whether the same is true for no-green growth. Do I need to trim off the totally pink leaves from this turtle vine in order to keep it growing, or can those stems still produce the variegated leaves if left alone?

    Callisia is totally different from that. The amount of pink is based on the amount of light. Lots of bright light will create lots of pink leaves. Mine is under a medium strength grow light for about 16 hours a day. They grow fast. I have to trim mine every week. They have extremely shallow roots. It’s growing in a shallow terracotta planter, in succulent soil. I think it is a bit of a fussy plant. It seems to prefer drying out between waterings but if you let it get too dry then the center of the plant dries up. It’s a balancing act.
