I ordered a little olive tree for hubby on 12/20. Here it is over a week later and the poor thing is still sitting in a cold truck. ☹️. It came from Florida and I'm in Massachusetts. I'll be surprised if it survives the trip. If it does, do I bring it right in the house or should I slowly change temperature by leaving it in the garage a day or two? I know I should have probably waited for better weather but it was Christmas. 🤦🏼

There’s a chance it’ll make it if it was packed well! My advice is don’t water it until the soil returns to room temp. I learned this the hard way last winter! Watering cold roots can damage them and lead to root rot.

It came today and was actually still alive but I just now read this so I already wanted it. Used warm water though.
