Need some advice from my Planta family on a couple things… 1. Has anybody had any luck repotting an alocasia from chunky soil to a leca and moss glass vase? If so, what levels did you place the leca and moss? And how did your plant do? 2. I’ve seen so many different ways to acclimate TCs. I am planning on potting mine in a self watering dome cup with moss and I’ve seen that you have to make sure all the gel is removed and to soak them in a bowl with water and a few drops of iodine. I am just so concerned that I’m going to kill these plants. Any advice anybody can give me is appreciated. Thanks family.

    I've don't this with atleast 5 of my Alocasia. I've found out that leavinh some soil on the roots helps the plant adjust. You might loose one or two leafs due to the transplant shock but the end result is well worth it. As far as leca levels, don't over think it. Just make sure the resovoir is enough to hold enough water for the plant so that your not watering every 3 days. Hope this helps. Your alocasia will thank you for switching to the set up.
