I don’t know where you are, but It’s natural for plants to look like this over winter. Do you know what kind of hydrangea it is?

It’s definitely a hydrangea. I’m still learning about them myself. I know that there is one kind where you want to clip the tops off and another kind you don’t. Either way I would wait until there is at least a week of 50 degree weather to do anything. I’m sure there are other people on this app they can tell you more. Just take a breath and it will be okay!!

It has lots of new leaves. So, it’s coming out of dormancy. It just needs a little clean up to remove deadwood.

btw your name is a bit misleading- how about ‘cloudy’ or ‘slight drizzle’ ?

Ann, as you well know, my intention is to never use words as a harming mechanism and i am grateful for the community i find my self in. Alas, I am not in a great place currently because i live in England. This means that the sun is a friend that only comes around twice a year, and was creating a small humorous jibe as us brits do. I did not mean to cause offence to you, Sunny, or anyone else involevd. I was only commenting on the fact of the ghastly weather in the UK. I am dearly sorry :(

You’re forgiven. The humor got lost in translation. 🙂 I didn’t know you are in the UK. So, I didn’t understand.
