I recently got a snake plant, but Iām not quite sure how to care for it! I currently have it under a grow light for 12 hours a day. I havenāt watered it yet, because it was soaked and sitting in water when I got it. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you! šŖ“
these thrive in neglect! they love light and want to dry out compleeeeetely before watering again

Neglect. Neglect. Neglect. But also care for it. I have various snake plants in different lighting (in a window and as far away from windows), but main thing is leave to dry completely. If it is further from a window itāll take longer to dry out, so keep an eye on it.

0 Likes Absolutely. I have a few like that. They push out new growth extremely slowly anyway, so will be even slower. You can put it in the sun or a lighter spot for a holiday if you want to help it out with growth but it should survive in low light conditions easily.
1 Like I wouldnāt put this is a dark corner ā if youāve got the space for it under this light Iād keep it there ā especially since itās small. These grow really well with lots of light. Mine is in a west window and pushed out 6 pups at once this summer For darker spaces itās good to buy the plant at the size you want it to be because it will grow very slowly like urban jungle said
1 LikeOkay, thank you. Iāll leave it under the light since I have the room. And hooray for you, six pups?!! š„³

Wouldnāt let it sit in water. Dump it out after a thorough watering
