Anyone have experience growing English Ivy? I’ve done a lot of reading but can’t seem to find any conclusive answers …. Will my Ivy eventually grow up the trellis and put out areial roots to anchor itself? 🍃

    I bought an Ivy like 2 weeks ago and I’ve heard they’re really easy to grow. It’s currently in my bathroom and so far been doing well. I just watered it the other day and it’s growing new leaves.

    my ivy is a year old and grows like a weed! they’re super easy to care for. and yes, it will eventually climb up the trellis. not sure about any aerial roots though. you’ll likely have to wrap her around the trellis as she grows.

    She’ll eventually climb. Let her grow out a bit first and then wrap it around to help it out. You can use some green plant Velcro to keep it up in the trellis at first. Eventually she’ll go on her own, but my ivy grows downward unless I help her start to climb.
